Well, my boyfriend and I drove from Vancouver to Los Angeles in 2 days so we could be in LA for Christmas. We have the 2010 Town and Country Minivan. Picked it up with less than 300km on it and will have a fantastic review when I am all done with it. It is great to be able to get some test vehicles at time and really live with it.
We arrived into LA around midnight on Dec 23 and while exhausted and checking his mailbox he passed me his iPhone and told me to check my email. Sitting in my inbox was a note saying "Look below for your Christmas gift". As I scrolled down the page, I was looking at an e-ticket for a trip to NYC!! And we had to be up and at the airport in less than 8 hours.
I was shocked - I had been feeling a bit sad about being away from my family for the holidays. Vancouver never really feels like the Christmas's that I remembered because we rarely get snow. I am not complaining - but snow for a few days this time of year is always magical. This is the most amazing gift I think I have ever been given. He really surprised me and we are staying here until Jan 8.
I know there will be an unimaginable amount of people in Time Square but I think we might risk it and watch the apple drop on New Years Eve. I know it might be cliche but Jay-Z song really does describe the incredible energy in this city "Concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there's nothing you can't do! Now you're in New York, these streets will make you feel brand new, the lights will inspire you, lets here it for New York!"
